    Kyushu Revolts

    Kyushu Revolts

This is the classic battle of the Titans. You need to build up a heavy force and destroy the enemy. But you start at a disadvantage in numbers. Don’t attack immediately, and instead, use the terrain to your advantage. The map consists of two rivers with narrow crossings, and cliffs with narrow valleys, use these as choke points to defend yourself.

Begin by cranking out Villagers and gathering resources. There’s plenty of Wood, Food, Gold and Stone on the map, make use of it to upgrade everywhere you can. Build a Siege Workshop and a Government Center, and keep upgrading as soon as possible.

There are a number of ways to win this, one of the better is with Composite Bowmen and Stone Throwers. Begin upgrading to Composite Bowmen, then mining Gold to build your forces. Use Walls and Towers to defend the shallows across the river, and when you’re ready, send a force across on river crossing to the middle of the map.

Clean out the enemy as much as possible, using Scouts to locate the pockets of resistance, then move up your Villagers and begin establishing a second base in the middle of the map. A few Archery Ranges and Siege Workshops will give you plenty of production, and set the Villagers to gathering the resources in the middle of the map. Use Towers on the cliffs and near the shallows to protect yourself from the enemy charges, and use your Swordsmen to take out enemy Catapults as they arrive.

From here it’s a simple matter of attrition. You need to hold off the enemy charges in some areas while mounting your own concentrated charge elsewhere. Use Towers as static defenses to guard your flanks, and Composite Bowmen to provide the bulk of your cover for the Stone Throwers. Build a Temple and some Priests to heal the wounded. Keep moving an attacking, taking out all resistance before moving on and you’ll gradually destroy the enemy for the win. And complete the Campaign.
