    The Great Hunt

    The Great Hunt

This scenario is a gauntlet to run, you must move as quickly as possible through each stage. Ignore anything that doesn’t shoot at you, and most things that do and you’ll make it through okay. To start, run your Axemen through the Lions and Elephants, and although you may need to kill a few Lions, don’t stop for the Elephants. Make it through to the Southeast and your Bowmen, group with them and keep moving. This time run through the enemy Bowmen, killing any that you have to but just trying to get through. Soon, you’ll hook up with Scouts.

Leave your Bowmen and Axemen and run your Scouts past the Towers until you come to your Cavalry. Group with your Cavalry and run past the Towers and the Elephant Archers, and even past the Catapults without attacking, right up to the wall. Here you have two options. You ca either get the Catapults to shoot at you while you’re next to the wall, and then dodge the shot so it destroys the wall, or you can simply hack through the wall if the Catapults aren’t firing.

Grab the Priests through the wall, heal any wounded, and then convert at least one Catapult. You can try for conversion, then dodge the shot, then try the conversion, then dodge, and so on until you own the Catapult. Pull the Catapult back and heal it, then use it to take down the Towers, and keep moving back the way you came, taking out Towers where possible.

When you get to the Elephant Archers, send your Cavalry in to attack them and keep them busy, while converting with your Priests. Convert as many as you can, but don’t lose the Priests or you’ll have trouble later. Once you’ve got a few Elephant Archers, move toward the North and have your Elephant Archers engage the Towers. When the Towers are firing on your Elephant Archers, use the Catapults to take on the Towers while the Elephants keep them busy, and take all the Towers down. Heal up and get ready to move on.

Beware the Priests as you come out from the Towers, and use your Cavalry to take them out. Let your Elephant Archers pin down the enemy Composite Bowmen, don’t try to convert them or you’ll lose a Priest in the process. Hit them with your Catapults and you should get through fine. Use your Cavalry on the Ballistas, they won’t be able to fire and you’ll take them out quick. Heal the wounded and then send your Cavalry on again, to take out the Catapults facing you. When everything is clear, heal again and move on.

At the next stage you’ll find a Transport waiting. Load up your Cavalry and Scouts, and sail directly to the North end of the map, the Western end of the land mass. Ignore everything along the way and you should get through okay. Drop off your mounted units and run through all the enemy fire, your goal is to follow the path to the North corner where the Artifact is. You only need to get one unit through to claim the win.
