Eyes of Oriele
Some say they are the very eyes of the ancient god Oriele who could see and influence the past, present, and future. They say this god fell in love with a mortal woman of great beauty, yet never having the courage to tell her. Thus when this woman aged and died he was so heartbroken that he removed his own eyes so he would never look upon a woman the same again. In removing his eyes Oriele could not keep watch of the past, present, or future and could not influence the events that unfolded. Time passed and Oriele faded into oblivion.
It was said that should anyone ever find his eyes, a person could wield great power as they had the power to look to the past change their present and hold influence over the future events. They would be able to change their lives or others for the better or worse.
We find Seth in strange lands, looking for strange cities that hold strange relics. The stranger had told him to go to the village of Onge. There he would find the ruins and hopefully the other half of this map to a great city in the east called Ardeks. This city is now abandoned as the great wall that held back the sea had toppled and the water had rushed in to drown all within and claim the land. There at the Trinity Temples there would be the relic needed to free his family. “Find it and return with it before the moon grows full or forfeit your family Seth.”
Playability: 4.8
Fun to play and the mazes were excellant, not something were you just click on the end of the maze, this maze you have to look carefully and carefully navigate because compies in the maze can easily do a suprise attack and do quite alot of damage to your one Hero.
Balance: 4.7
The balance was good because the enemey is not too strong or too weak.
Creativity: 5
This scenario has its own language.dll which adds a nice atmosphere to the game, the story and history is one of the most creative things I ever seen in an Age of Empires scenario/campaign.
Map Design: 4.7
Alot of areas looked brilliant but could do with a little improvement, the terrains were awesome but you could have included some eye-candy to the other tribe's town e.g apple trees.
Story/Instructions: 5
These stories are really good and detailed, victory conditions were clear and the story is very creative.
