PLAYABILITY: Very good playability, with no bugs that will greatly effect gameplay. Each scenario consists of build and destroy, but this is executed very well with good strategic points to attack from. Overall, great fun. 4 CREATIVITY: Often build and destroy scenarios are lax on creativity, but this campaign is creative in the ways things are done. Nice things like strategic rivers, well guarded islands chock full of resources make this well stocked in the creativity section. 3 BALANCE: Each scenario begins the same way, with you controlling a small village against a vastly superior enemy base. Often your enemies attack early on and it is difficult to defend, and in each scenario it is sometimes difficult to build up the mighty army that is needed to attack your enemy. 3 MAP DESIGN: Maps are very well done, with nice placement of natural resources. Also, towns and cities are done beautifully, and nice map features like the swampy river in scn 2 and the overgrown cliffs. 4 STORY / INSTRUCTIONS: Story and bitmaps are good, but what really lets this section down is the poor spelling in the instructions. Other than this, instructions are good, history is well written and bitmaps are well made. 3 OVERALL: A well done game from a new designer, and a reccomended download. 3.64

PLAYABILITY: "Siege" is the word to describe the whole cpn. In every scenario you have to destroy a city or army. I had plenty of fun playing this cpn tho, it reminded me of a typical ES cpn. It's basicly build and destroy, no special obejectives like "Steal 2 treasures and bring them to the temple", just plain killing. CREATIVITY: The lack of objectives is why I gave a 2. Like I mentioned in playability, just plain killing and that's all. Nothing special. BALANCE: The balance was nicely done, not too hard nor too easy. Plenty of recources placed down on the map to create a huge empire and enough military men. Sometimes a small siege was made on your base, which was cool. Keeping things fair and not too easy to beat, I gave it a 4. MAP DESIGN: First of all, the cities were very well done, they really made me think. All scn's itself need some more eye-candy and tricks though, but still nicely done. Story/Instructions: Ok instruction and a good story. Bitmaps where a bit easy, could have been improved. Main reason why I gave it a 3 was because of much bad grammar. Still ok but needs some work to be done. OVERALL: With some more objectives in every scn and some better Instructions and thoughts, this cpn could made at least an overall 4. Nicely done, but still needs a lot of attention.
The Punic wars campaign takes us through the 3 punic wars in 3 scenarios, with you being the Romans. PLAYABILITY: The 1st and 3rd punic war scenarios took way too long to complete, Also all three scenarios were just your average Build-up and Destroy the enemy scenarios. Boring. BALANCE: This campaign is horribly unbalanced, The 2nd punic war (which as history shows was the hardest for the Romans to win) is completed quite quickly and easily. While the other two took an eternity. CREATIVITY: No Originality in this campaign at all. All the objectives in all 3 scenarios were "Defeat X" MAP DESIGN: These maps were really of Random map standard. Very average with not much eye candy. STORYINSTRUCTIONS: Clear enough Instructions but the story had an incredible amounts of spelling mistakes, it was unreadable in parts. Good Points: - Clear Instructions - errrrrr....... Bad Points: - Almost Everything else.
