Sigh, another short and very average LOTR scenario. It’s a fixed force defend scenario where you must turn the tables by finding Gaia units.
Playability: 2
Playing a scenario with little creativity is very boring if it doesn’t have great map design and or story. This one has neither of these, and is a fairly common “Find the Gaia units” scenario. Once you find all the Gaia units, being the Riders of Rohan and the army of the dead, you should be equipped to defend Minas Tirith. The reinforcements are quite hard to spot, and you have difficulty finding a unit to get to them too, so this is the main challenge of the scenario.
Balance: 2
The only challenge is finding a unit to get to them, and finding where the army of the dead is, since the riders have been revealed for you.
Creativity: 2
Oh no, not another LOTR scenario.
Map Design: 2
The map is very emptyish, the city of Minas Tirith being okay, but too small. I liked the lone tree, though. Didn’t think Orcs on horse back were so good.
Story: 2
Well, once again we see a scenario with little story. The view point is 3rd person with no particular emphasis on anything. You are just some vague controller of non specific units, playing out a simple battle that has been done many times before.
Overall: 2
A scenario that scores a 2 isn’t worth downloading, simple as that
