Topic Subject: Is it possible to rip sprites and icons from the folders?

Hi I was trying to figure out a way how to extract or dump the graphics from the game such as sprites and icons from the folders instead of taking screenshots.

I found a prototype from August 1997 and I was very curious to see what might be in there! I am only interested to see all the sprites and icons from this early version of the game if there might be any hidden unused content not in the retail disc!

It would also be nice to have sprites of all the units including their animations and buildings!

I would be very glad if you guys can help!

Have you checked out SLX studio? I'm not sure but I think it should be one of the more modern programs that suits your needs, as graphics are stored in the graphics.drs file

That prototype has only a few older/unused graphics, it's very close to the release version. SLP studio (find it in the Granary) works for this too, if it runs on the latest Windows, don't know.
