Just need some strats as they seem like a civ fit for me+I like their architecture.

They seem to have defensive bonuses. I wonder what the community here would say about turtling up and slinging resources to an ally. Besides that you can't go wrong with chariot archers into horse archers.

I usually go for chariot archers when playing as babylon, although they aren't a personal favorite when it comes to RM.

While horse archers are definitively better than chariot archers most of the times, remember that horse archers cost gold so massing them may result costly.

So a lot of what I supposed AOE to be like, is just not. I pictured massed chariot archer wars...hasnt happened yet. Figured scythes and HAs to be crazy good, but so many games end in bronze.

Edit: Actually just got into a long chariot archer war, so ignore the previous post

Babylonians are my favorite. Culture, in-game architecture, tech tree.

From my current experience they seem to be best at Standard FFA or 2v2v2(v2) games.

Go on defense, train as few units as possible. Wall. Boom. Build few Stone Throwers as main defense in Bronze. Another layer of walls. Iron. Build workshops and Stables. Then spam only FU Heavy Catapults (this is the key unit) and Scythed Chariots (for stalling, and if possible flanking enemy catapults). Build like five layers of walls (forget towers unless you really have extra stone which I doubt). Gather all your villagers and build a Wonder. GG.

Yeah as an FFA civ I imagine they would place among the very best. Defensive bonuses such as the Babylonian Tower/Wall HP bonus allows a player to turtle through the game until Iron while the other players wear each other down.

For Bab's it really depends on your opponent, the go to unit is CA, if you have CA typically its the pick, the only standard exception is palmy due to the camels they have.

although if I recall baby gets them to, so it depends on your map and many other factors, baby is even fine to sling rush with given you have the map for it and are wing. Going straight iron with any civ is dumb and often in gp games doesn't work.

keep in mind as well as having horse archer, they have sythe as well, the units you use depends on your enemies civilization and what they do. Baby is a great civ they have quite a few options open to them.

No return to innocence. What is lost, is lost forever. Like my father, war's wounds have bled me dry. No words of comfort; no words of forgiveness. No words at all."
