anyone know if you can change the pop limit in AoE DE or you would need a tool similar to the awesome RoR population limit changer?

also i heard the Advanced Genie Editor 2018 is "Adjusted" for AoE DE, anybody know if that means they cracked that supposedly encrypted empires.dat so that you can modify civilizations and/or units?

just asking these because trying to determine if i should even bother with AoE DE

Modding AoE: DE isn't all that feasible yet. We're able to view all the files from the game after doing a memory dump, but as far as I know no one can replace the game files locked away in the installation folder. It's best to wait and see if Microsoft ever releases the game on another platform like Steam with workshop support.

I hope M$ opens the eyes and: 1- allows the game to be sold on steam and 2- allows access to moddable files. I fear this game will be fully dead soon if that does not happen.
