After experimenting with what can be done with ROR a little bit more, I finally sat down to play the Sargon of Akkad campaign again. I found the second scenario, Divine Will, quite difficult, but still beatable. That population cap surely is limiting - in a good way - which forces the player to think and make different choices rather than just building up and spamming units. I like this very much and is kind of a fresh breath of air after being used to the 200 pop cap.

The third scenario, The Prophecy, is beatable under 15 minutes (hint: scout wisely). I am currently at the 4th scenario, The land of Kings, which seems to be a very difficult one from what I read on both AoEH and the ageofempires.com forums. I'm looking forward to the challenge, will see if I can beat it. Props to the designer - like the Trajan campaign, Sargon is excellent, really well designed, every scenario is a challenge to beat and a treat to look at!

I wonder if your enjoyment of the Return of Rome campaigns would lead you to try out some of the Age of Empires II: DE campaigns if you have not already

I have started playing Bayinnaung, but did not finish it yet. Was more interested in playing online before the release of Return of Rome.

Those cataphracts were quite bold, so I returned them the favor with triremes.

Great campaign!
