I just hope the devs learned their lesson from AoM and AoE2HD. And microsoft too, give them some cash to work with...
Choice of stained glass on the intro is confusing, as it brings a medieval connotation to me. The graphics look a bit odd, bit fuzzy and too realistic(like shaders and grit). Little disappointing, since part of AoE1s appeal is its sharp iconic look, moreso than its successor AoE2.
Am i excited? No, more worried and nervous. Would i buy it? Depends on if the feel of the game is the same. What i think needs to happen for it to be good;excellent performance without FPS tanking, good pathfinding, and good performance under load, meaning complicated scenarios with 8 players not making lag.
"Excellent could be any map that has the quality of a ES random map or ES scenario. AoK is an excellent, award winning game. That's where I'd start." -AnastasiaKafka
"Hard work is evil. Bitmaps are stupid. Working on a scenario for more than one afternoon is stupid. Triggers are stupid. Testing your own scenario is stupid. The world is stupid. You are the Greatest." -Ingo Van Thiel[This message has been edited by Cataphract887 (edited 07-10-2017 @ 04:47 PM).]
