I never understood this, for boats it makes sense because you have a crew to convert as opposed to just a single person. For chariots and their archer variants it's just one person driving a horse. My only conclusion is that the horses in Age of Empires took a different evolutionary path and are just as sentient as humans and would refuse to obey someone who's switched sides. In which case why don't cavalry units and scouts have this resistance bonus themselves? Or are we dealing with a different breed of horses that are used solely for chariots or maybe the "horses" are actually magical ponies. I'm so confused...

Chariots are indeed designed to counter priests. They ended up being the main unit of RM for the civs who can have them

Yeah, unfortunately CA are just the OP unit in RM.

I just decreased the crazy effectiveness of wololo grandpa in my mod. Works much better

interesting enough chariot civs usually have the strongest priests as well (except maybe Palmyra) :P

Chariots also had a crew in real-life. A driver and one or two fighters.

that's why I said 'usually' on the other hand, Choson have strong priests but no chariots.

guys, the chariots nd chariots archer are resistant to conversion because has the horses arracnged, and the power of him is so strong. ok, i don't know, right? ) the chariots is an mystery for me....

There's no logic on that fact, it's just that developpers needed more balance in the game. Though I like that "magic pony" version...
