Villager Rush

This is one of the most rare strategies in the game. I have never had in done to me, but I have used is several times to my success. This strategy is unfortunatly pretty much in all or nothing. The typical game starts by players getting a steady economy and then making military units usually specializing in a field. This one is different. First the best civ for this is Shang because of their low villager cost. Now put almost all your villagers into gaining food. Only a few will be needed to build houses and chop wood(note:make sure you keep up to date on the houses, speed is of the essence). When you reach about thirty send them to your enemies center. Concentrate them on killing all villagers and military men. In all likelyhood your foe will panic and start making a ton of clubmen. Still concentrate mainly on villagers. This will accomplish one of two things. One you’ll completely whipeout your enemies civ and win the game. Or two, he’ll be set back so far it will be a simple matter to finish him off. In case of the second you should have a large source of food from whitch to draw from. Your opponent on the other hand will probaly have only a handful of clubmen and maybe some food. Since your villagers cost less you can quickly get back on track and make tool before to long. This strategy does have a few flaws however. If you go against a more expierenced player odds are he will be able to repel the rush with little loss. Also it doesn’t really work when you have more then one opponent. After wiping out one anther will come and kill you. Also it works best on a small map where you can locate your foe quickly. So there you have it. Use with care. This I consider the riskiest attack I know.
