In this second installment of "The David Saga" we follow David through the pages of Samuel 2 as he becomes King of Judah and vies with the Benjamites for the crown of Israel. Along the way you'll witness the destruction of Ziklag, rescue villagers from the Amalekites, go on a harrowing journey through assassin-filled forests, and finally, conquer Jerusalem itself. The promise of victory and kingship await you in this campaign! Can YOU reunite the kingdoms of Judah and Israel to become the one king of God's people?
Continues the story from the brilliant (5.0 rated) Davids Saga # 1, the story of the biblical David King of the Jews. Chalk up another perfect score for Imhotep. This campaign was really a delight to play. As soon as you see the opening bitmap you know this author has devotes a good deal of effort to his work. The story and instructions are lengthy but so nicely written and important to the overall setting of the scene that they are a great plus to the campaign. This author leaves nothing to chance and painstakingly adds each tree, bush, water item and stone to ensure the scenery is as realistic as possible. Don't think though that the scenarios are just visually pleasing, they are great to play. The author has nicely balanced each scenario so you have to use your men wisely and think a lot but he has not made it too hard. Don't get too cocky though and ensure that you save regularly. I could ramble on for ages instead I will try and give some highlights to look out for ! Scenario 1. The swampy river, a key to the economical problems of Ziklag. The burning city of Ziklag. Imagine your surprise to walk into a city with burning gaia buildings ! How does the author pull this off.. I'll let you work it out ! Scenario 2. The overall beautiful scenery. The little waterfalls and general terrain is a delight to look at. The necessity of having all your characters having to fight, you start with 6 men (non-heros) and they must all survive. The puzzles that have at least a couple of different ways to solve each one ! Scenario 3. The lovely instruction map that doubles as an architectural plan for you city.. great idea ! The need to have to fight for necessary resources ! Overall you will enjoy this campaign. Just download it now, play and bug the author to produce more quality work !

Alas, Imhotep retired from the scene many years ago. Nevertheless we would be very pleased to hear some news from this legendary man, so good luck for your quest!
Should you manage to get in contact with Imhotep please tell him that this community still remembers him, and many Designers are in debt with him for his findings on the AoE world.
