This is a 4player only senario consisting of 4 plots of land in the 4 corners of the square.. Each one joined by shallows. the rest is just water. For the adventurous there is a suprise in the centre. this is my first atempt a one (not that its hard to do) =:+) I've found that its best played at Moderate difficulty or above as the computer players get darn confused with the combination of mainly water and shallows... Enjoy...
Style: Build and Destroy
Players: 2-4
Map: Corner islands attacked to each other along long shallows (moving along edge of map) with a central spread of islands and a gaia unit
Playability: 2
The lack of resources makes this hard to play, as well as having one player finding the middle gaia unit completely throws the game.
Balance: 2
Some players have more gold, and the case of finding the middle gaia unit really determines the game (seeing as most players will have nothing to hit back so early in the game).
Creativity: 3
The use of the shallows is quite good, keeping all islands reachable around the edges. The middle area idea is too common.
Map Design: 2
The spread of resources, lack of resources and middle gaia unit are bad design choices. The ability to access all outer islands by foot is good.
Story/Instructions: 2
Basic with spelling mistakes.
Additional Comments:
Starting the game in the iron age may be better, but generally the map is not that fun. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
