A multiplayer scenario balanced and divided by a river. Realistic terrain, with a variety of hills and valleys dominating the map, require an entirely different strategic thinking. Since there is nowhere to drop more than a few buildings at one fell swoop. Armies will likely need to be built at home, and then sent out campaigning. Singleplayer also : No
Playability: 3.3
While not too much difference in play than a random map, this was still a bit different. Lots of hills on the map, making your city less compact and more spacious-this may take on a different strategy for some people. A short river divided the two landmasses, with 3 passes. One is small and is unoccupied; the other two are filled with gators and lions. This takes on a slightly different begining to multiplayer combat; whoever builds towers at the pass first and guards it will have an advantage. Armies who want to attack first will have to suffer casualties from the lions and gators if they want to avoid the towers. Overall--a bit more interesting than a random map, and shouldn't be too bad of a play.
Balance: 3.1
All CPs did reasonably well and the players are generally balanced, although the brown player does have some issues that need to be addressed; they have no gazelle source and are very close to the lions. In the game I played they were almost stopped in their tracks by them! However, they managed to bounce back fairly well, and made it to the iron age only a bit behind. Overall--good enough. Some different thinking was required on your part, and your ally aswell.
Creativity: 2.5
Not terribly creative--as the game isn't really based to much on stratego. Where's the flag? It's a bit different in strategy and is creative enough to some extent with the map attributes-lions, gators, passes. Could have been a bit better though. :-(
Map Design: 3
A bit blank, but mostly like a random map in most aspects. Good enough for multiplayer-made from scratch.
Story/Instructions: 2
Nothing whatsoever. This isn't really a big requirement for a MP scenario, but either way, you'd have to understand that in order to get points you are going to have to put something down...
Additional Comments: Download if you want, but be warned it really isn't anything too special. Theres better stuff out there anyway.
