This is the battle of The Alamo. It took place in the Spanish mission San Antonio de Bexar. The few Texans who lived in there were killed by the powerful Mexican army commanded by Gen. Santa Anna. In the battle all Texans died including the famous David Crockett, Gen. Travis, Bowie and other excelent men who fought for the independence of Texas. Only few people survived the attack the most was women and children. In this battle your objectives are: 1.- Kill 8 units of each group of the Mexican Army (except: Centurions 1, 15 Long swordsman, 5 catapults). 2.- Keep alive those 2 scouts and the 3 villagers that are between 4 flags and bring them to Houston to tell to Sam Houston about the fall of The Alamo. REMEMBER ONLY THOSE SCOUTS AND VILLAGERS ARE NEEDED TO WIN, DO NOT TRY WITH OTHER VILLAGERS BECAUSE IT DO NOT GOING TO WORK. THAT'S ALL GOOD LUCK! Multiplayer also : No
This is all over in 4 minutes but it's sort of fun to watch.
Although we are surrounded, and historically we're going to be wiped out, we can "win" this scenario by satisfying some Victory Conditions before we're all gone. So being outnumbered still can't stop us from winning rather easily.
Nice idea for recreating a losing battle without losing.
Map Design: 3
This is a nicely detailed map of the Alamo showing the outer walls, inner barrack, and the San Antonio river.
Very detailed History, Instructions, Hints, and Aftermath for both winning and losing.
The author uses catapults in lieu of cannon which is a standard convention when designing out of the normal time span of AoE. The Elephant Archers looked out of place, though.
