End of the Second Trowlin War

Author File Description
C.J. Merz
File Details
Number of Scenarios: 5
Difficulty: Mod-Hard
Daring raids, cowardly captures, cunning escapes, and an epic battle punctuate the finale of the Second Drothian-Trowlin War. Victory over the Drothians - unlike most other war campaigns I've played - is determined by only one single battle. The rest of the missions are more like guerrilla operations than a full scale revolt with full support of the popluation. In fact, in one mission, the local population isn't even on your side! As in the first campaign of this war ("Beginning of the Second Trowlin War") there is a lot of reading in the history and scenario instruction sections for you (but not in the first mission!), if you feel up to it. Once again, I hope you download and enjoy this campaign! I think you will be surprised at the ending. 1.) "The Gates of Alexander's Naval Base" Remember this place from the first campaign (Trowlin War p. I)? 2.) "The Mysterious Preist" Over the course of this campaign (The Beginning and the End of the Second Trowlin War), you will meet various characters like this one. 3.) "Trowlian Area of Operations" The scenario instruction map for the campaign. If you enjoyed this campaign, feel free to E-mail me and tell me about it! Any comments, or suggestions? (Don't be too mean now!) E-mail me! Have fun!

Map Design5.0
This group of scenarios was definantly not as good as the first (Beggining of the Second Trowlin War). The maps were excellent! There was even some extra effort put into creating some little secrets and suprises on the map. In some of the scenarios, units (not all enemies) moved in ways that seemed to block your path, or trap you to a merciless death. These may have taken some time to come up with (or they could have been a complete accident). There was some time put into creating maps for the story/instructions screen. The balance wasn't all that good, considering you start out with 1-5 men at most, and you are up against 75+ highly armored enemies with an attack that could mow you down with 5 hits. Two of the scenarios you were set to die in. It's not the dying part that bothers me so much as the fact that those two scenarios were pretty boring. The story was excellent... well, up until the point of the last couple of scenarios. In the story for one of the last, two or three times suggestive profanity was used for expression. Also, there were a few parts in the instructions that were very unclear.
