In Volcano, players start with four villagers, a light transport, and a Town Center. Food is extremely abundant in each of the player's areas. Also, gold is easy to find in the "volcano" area. Firstly, the map is not very well done. The author clearly started with a blank map, then added some large, square blocks of terrain. A square island with a "volcano" in the center (a square area of varying elevation with some gold mines on the sides) surrounded by a square section of water. At first glance, the perfectly symmetrical map appears to be balanced. However, the map is sectioned unevenly using square jungle areas. Some players have huge areas, and some have small corners. The scenario has no unique features that would make it more enjoyable than a random map. A volcano is a great idea for a scenario, but the title is the only thing reminiscent of the force of nature. This scenario is simply poor work.
