Map Size : Large - Map Defaults - Starting Age : Stone Victory Conditions: Conquest or Standard, but no ruins or artifacts included. Starting Resources: 200 Wood, 200 Food, 150 Stone, and 0 Gold. - Notes - A "no-frills" 4-Player map. Channels of water intersect most of the map. A central island with (of course), extra goodies. Map resources are fairly good. -io
This is a 4-player standard victory condition scenario with all players starting in the Stone Age with default resources. The map is very nice with a river running in a square near the outside of the map as well as an inner river creating a central island. More rivers connect the two rings of water. Resources are plentiful but not overdone. I really liked how this map was laid out - it is simple and fair. Great job.

Style: Build and Destroy
Players: 2-4
Map: Land is broken up by canals/rivers, which can be crossed via shallows, and middle island contains 2 gaia helepolis
Playability: 4
Actually quite fun as you need to secure each piece of land but face navy units travelling across the many canal routes (and at the same time putting the same pressure on your enemies).
Balance: 4
You can be attacked on land or via canal (navy/transport) and is really a battle to hold onto segments of the map.
Creativity: 3
Canals are quite good, and break up the map well for a challenging game. However, the central island with "goodies" a very common feature!
Map Design: 3
Map split looks quite natural (not straight canals, but more like streams/rivers). Good spread of resources. Some grass patches overlap river.
Story/Instructions: 3
They are basic but correct.
Additional Comments:
This one is worth a try. Not at the top of the list, but makes an interesting battle.
