This is a 4-player scenario with a computer in the middle, with two teams of two humans and no set victory conditions. The humans on the same side of the river are teammates. The 4 human players have a rather large amount of resources, while the computer has minimal resources. In theory, a human could play player number 5, but it would be rather difficult. Players 1 and 2 must kill players 3, 4, and 5. Players 3 and 4 must kill players 1, 2, and 5. Anyone foolhardy enough to try to play player 5 must kill ALL the other players to win. Of course, this is all assuming that you have the victory as standard or conquest... There are no ruins or artifacts, but players can win by building and holding a wonder. The only advantage player 5 has is having two warships, but there is little water, so he/she probably won't be able to use them for a while. You must kill everything you find moving and take over the Republic of Texas! Everyone begins neutral, but grow fast! At any moment an Indian tribe may make a move to wipe you out. Players- - The Texans are based in East Texas with a few men maintaining a mission in the southern Hill Country called the Alamo. The men of the Alamo were slaughtered by Gen. Santa Anna of the Mexican Army. The men fought bravely and to the death for the freedom of Texas. In respect for these men we ask that you leave them in the mission to defend it to the death. It makes the game even for all. Their town center has access to the fish at Hell's Gate on Lake Possum Kingdom and the Red River to the north. - The Blackfoot Indians inhabit the Rocky Mountains of what will become Colorado. They are aggressive and vicious. - The Caddo Nation holds the land near their burial chambers called the Caddo Mounds. They grow quickly and use the swamplands of the Louisiana area to utilize the Gulf of Mexico. - The Comanche Tribe lives in Palo Dura Canyon of the Panhandle area. Trust em as far as you can through 'em! - Apache Indians live in the El Paso/Juarez, Mexico area of far West Texas (Tejas). The have access to the Davis Mountains and the large amount of reserves their. - The Mexicans, having seen an eagle with a snake in its beak, have laid claim to the Mexican Territory south of Texas. They have much room to grow and access to the Pacific Ocean. - The Spaniards have inhabited the Coastal Plains by way of South Padre Island. They are land hungry and brutal so send these Paella eating Europeans back across the Atlantic. - The Choctaw Indians of Oklahoma are ruthless and quick to grow powerful. Beware their ferocious nature and superb ability to organize a BINGO game. All computer players are set to aggressive, as was the case for many of the Indian Tribes that have inhabited the Bad Lands of Texas. You should only play this game at the most difficult level possible. This map was built by 2 Texans. One born in Abilene, the other in Waco. We built the map from memory and did what we think is a pretty good job of representing the history of the only state in the United States that was once it's own country. The Republic of Texas. The different tribes and land features were based on historical fact. Truth is, we went back after we built it from memory and double-checked it for historical fact and it was pretty damn accurate! (score one for the Dallas Public School System!). If you have any suggestions for how to improve the scenario just send it to Andrew and Brett at brett@3stone.com. We've tested it about 40 times but theirs always little changes we can make. Singleplayer also : Yes
