Death In the Middle is a take off from the War2 scenario of the same name. For those of you who have player War2 this wasn't a very popular scenario on Kali, but I've made some improvements and hopefully this one will be a lot better.
4 player, standard victory conditions and starting resources. Evenly set up with nice choke points to defend your base. As the name implies, the middle is where a few extra resources can be found, but not too much to make it untasteful.

Style: Build and Destroy
Map: Cliffs enclose the corners (starting positions); middle accessible by all, contains some more resources
Placement of walls lets you hold your position, with not much incentive to go for the middle. Quite boring really.
Middle resources are not essential to victory, and the cliffs force all fighting to the middle.
Forcing battles in the middle is very common.

Quite plan and ugly, some trees are locked behind cliffs, middle resources not enough to really risk the battle (and losses!)

Try to avoid this map. It is set up poorly, with the rush to the middle not really essential (considering 2 or more players will take heavy losses trying to get a bit more gold!).
