I'm pretty proud of this scenario, based on my island home's history. Centuries ago, the Beothuk's predecessors (the maritime archaic indians) fought off the invasion of the Vikings. But when the Europeans discovered the island, the English joined forces with the native MicMacs to wipe out the Beothuks. Later, the English relegated the decimated MicMacs to the isolated south shore. This, of course, is an incredibly gross oversimplification. Some say that there never were more than 1000 Beothuks, and most of them died from imported diseases when the europeans arrived. Who knows. This scenario ignores the French, Basque and Portuguese attempts at colonizing, but they could probably be added. The resources are very generous, with a heavy emphasis on fish, as befits my island's history. All in all, it's pretty evenly divided. hope you like it!
