This is my first campaign so pleas email me as many comments as possible. deals with 4 main battles that Egypt gets into. This is not historically accurate, but it is stilla lot of fun. Don't think that because there are only four scenerios that this campaign ends fast. These are 4 very long scenerios. I suggest that you have at least a 166 to play this cause it will slow your computer down.
Playability- Well, it was just plain fun. I think that the good map, and good balance contributed greatly to that. If I find time, It was just an all-around fun campaign to do, and I think it would have been more fun if it was longer. Creativity- Well, I thought that the ideas for the scenarios (many different ones, which is why it lost some story points) were pretty original. It was all going pretty good until I noticed that the map on the story and instructions page was one that I have seen used in other scenarios and campaigns. Also, I think that the author did some custom personality files. Balance- Well, the balance was all around good. The author did some work with the tribes. He/She did custom personality files, and made the tribes better than they normally would have been. If there were pre-made armies they were all pretty even. It was beatable, but challenging, and fun. Map Design- Whooo! Best maps I have seen in a campaign in a LONG time. They were fabulous! Elevation and cliffs were placed nicely together. Water was used perfectly, so it made the map look great! The desert terrain, and Grassland terrain were used nicely, and fit together perfectly. I could tell that the author took time to place resources, and to use trees and such to add effect to forts, and other stuff on the map. Story and Instructions- The instructions were set up perfectly. They were easy to understand and they were accurate. The story, though, was not as good, because each scenario had its own story. The stories for the scenarios did not fit together, and, if I am correct, that's what a campaign is supposed to be.
