File Details
Difficulty: Hard
shared civ co-op or single player You and your friend have discovered a rich fertile valley. ; One of you has decided to settle within the main valley, ; while the other chose the very small, but resource full and ; secluded eastern end. There have been reports from travelers, that there are many tribes surrounding your valley. They are constantly at war with each other and because of this are unaware of this valley. The travelers inform you that if any of the tribes discover the ; beauty of this valley, they will swarm into it, in order to be ; the first to claim it. The result will be a bitter struggle when your settlement is found. ; This is grave news as you've already used some of your resources to constuct a government centre which should have been used for defense, mainly a barracks. In consulting with your scribes you've found that your stone stock pile is up. As you hurry to do the research for the construction of wall and towers your friend in the secluded eastern section works feaverishly to send the much needed supplies to accomplish this. Hold the valley at all costs, for there is no retreat, you are surrounded by hostile tribes. A succesfull defense will lead to REVENGE!! Victory condition is conquest Multiplayer also : no

The Sundered Realm is a wonderful conquest style scenario. It is built to accomodate either a single player or two players working together. You start with two town centers and are up against 5 computer opponents. The extra tc really gives a nice advantage but the computer players do not hold back and attack you often. Fortunately, your two tcs are not close together and one is very sheltered from attacks so you can survive pretty well. Your main tc is in the dead center of the map and resources are nicely spread. What really makes this stand out is the fabulous map - I love how frink textures the ground, it looks really kewl. Cliffs are nicely spread and there are lakes, rivers and waterfalls. It is very nicely done. In general, I despise conquest maps but this one wasn't so bad, mainly because as you conquered a civ, you took over their land and resources and you know that portion of the map was safe. By the time you wipe out the last guy, you have the whole map covered and there's nowhere to run. It did get a little tedious killing that last guy but overall, it was lots of fun. Great job!
