This felt more like a multiplayer map, and not like a single player scenario. The objective is to destroy the enemy, before he destroys you. The enemy is Hittite, you are Egyptian. The map is a desert with lots of cliffs, forming some kind of passage. There are some resources scattered around the map. Gold is guarded by lions, stone is mostly hidden or behind trees. Infact, it was a basic random map scenario with a little different map. Nothing really special.
Balance: 3
Pretty easy. Resources being guarded by lions are not really hard to get (use 5 villies and kill 'em, no problem at all). The rest was not too hard either. Just chariot-rush the enemy hittites before they get too strong and you've won. The hints say "the passage is a strategic place", though I think it could be a lot more strategical, especially for a single player scenario.
Creativity: 2.5
Not really all that creative scenario. Resources guarded by lions is not bad, but not an uber-creative idea I'd say. The map forming a thin passage was not a bad idea too, but like I said, this scenario is not outstandingly creative. Could be improved a lot imo.
Map Design: 2
Map design was very boring. I know deserts are mostly empty with sand and stuff, but I've seen much better desert areas than this. Some very scattered grass clumps don't help the rating of this.
Story/Instructions: 1.2
Bah! The scenario instructions consist of the following:
"History: Sorry, no history!
Instructions: Kill the enemy before they kill you!
Hints: The passage is a strategical place."
There's absolutely no story, or any reason why you have to kill the hittites, what you're doing in that desert and such. The hints could be improved too. The fact that I found no spelling mistakes and there actually exists an instructions page increases the rating by 0.2 points.
Additional Comments:
A very standard multiplayer map (wonder why this is in SP scens). Basically just play like you'd play with Egypt vs Hittites on Random map. Not really worth the download.
