I know UPatch exits which has taken care of a lot of issues with the game, more than I can fix, but I wanted to have my own take on some balance fixes.
As well the original plan for the mod was to use it on Voobly since UPatch does not work there.
This is a full balance mod, for Age of Empires Rise of Rome Expansion, reworking the stats and costs of many units, upgrades and buildings. The most noticeable change I feel will be the high pierce armour for siege weapons as I felt it was very unrealistic the way it was before.
It also includes the ability for farms to be walk-able like in later games, though it doesn't look the best it makes things a lot easier, as well as a change to the terrain restrictions of all the buildings.
I have also added a scout to all the standard maps like in Age of Empires 2, but that is subject to change.
I have not been able to fully test out if the balance changes are optimal due to time restrictions and overall lack of knowledge of the game to see it they are reasonable. Therefore I am including the full list of changes for anyone to look at. If you feel like a change made i.e. a unit worse, post in the comments below and I will fix it as quickly as possible in a later update.
If it looks like some changes resemble Age of Empires 2, its because they do. I needed something to give me inspiration since I really did not know much going into this.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated, I loved this game growing up and its great to see that a community still exits for it.
I like this mod. Perhaps you can take it a step further by editing or making your own AI using AIEdit.
By the way, how do you edit the starting units for each civ (like you start off with a scout on the Iron Age)?

Thanks, glad you like it. Maybe in the future I'll look more into making an AI, but for now I want to polish up the balance fixes. As for editing starting units, that can be done in A.G.E under maps, the farthest right one, and scroll down to "Units Placed on the Map", you can add any unit, building, or resource there.
