Playability: 3. This was slightly long and dragged out (4 1/2 hours for me) but that's siege warfare for you. It was getting to be really slow and grinding, until I discovered the naval aspect, which really opened up the options for me. I was able to have several things going on at different places in the map. I could attack on one side for a diversion and then attack on the other side.
Balance: 3.5. You start with an entire army of various units but a straight in rush might be very costly because of all the enemy towers. After a while I just built a wall of towers of my own and hunkered down while the enemy poured units into my area. Even so, he took out a lot of my towers and could have eventually broken through if I never went on the offensive.
Creativity: 2.5. Nicely conceived siege of Troy.
Map: 2.5. Finally a designer has the sense to make his cliffs on elevations as in nature, so that when he puts towers there, they have a ballistic height advantage. I was delighted to uncover the naval aspect to the battle, the way the map is put together hides that possibility at first. No fish in the entire sea, mostly empty field.
History: 3.5. Good reference to historical plot in all the hints and afterwords.
Comments: Enjoyable but a little slow. If you need a Trojan Horse I think there's one over in Empire Earth.
