This level follows the historical account of Joab and Abishai and they hunt down Sheba son of Bicri. You must lead the biblical heroes Joab and Abishai and the combined might of King Davids private army, the Kerethites and the Pelethites the the wise city of Abel Beth Maacah in their pursuit for the rebel Sheba.
This is my third attempt at using the EE and my first EE map that I have submitted. I have upped my personal level of scenario design quite significantly. I would say that this is the best looking map that I have produced and I believe that it would score highly when someone reviews it.
Updated: fixed the instructions so that there is less interpretation problems.
In this scenario, you control a mini-army going to attack a city (with some minor objectives on the way) because the guy in charge went against God or something. However, a wise man convinces you that the people who live there are good people, just not their ruler. You're going to need a new approach to solve this problem.
I had a pretty good time with this scenario, a combination fixed force/puzzle. I found it slightly tedious going out of my way for one of the granaries, but that's pretty minor. No bugs. The main reason the score isn't even higher is because the first half is stuff we've seen before a few times, and not too exciting either.
Could be a little harder as you mentioned, but fine the way it is. Personally I actually like scenarios that are on the easier side actually though.
Fairly average. Bonuses for changing what you have to do partway, and for the mini-puzzle involving the orange units in the city. (Personally I think it would be better with the brown units weaker or not there at all.)
Map Design: 4.7
Great job on this. The rock-bordered roads didn't look too nice in my opinion though, losing you .1, not that that matters. If you want an even better score, try developing your own personal style and tricks.
Sorry but I kinda have to deduct points since it was taken straight from the Bible. This also makes it hard to understand - I didn't really know what was going on until the the second instructions, though it made complete sense after that. The bitmap isn't the highest quality, but works. Amasa's town is hard to see though.
You're on the right track! Your next step is to get something unique, that you won't find in other scenarios.
