This map is rich in resources. You have to destroy the enemy(3 comp), with help of one ally(comp or second player). Is enjoyable to play even for the most experienced player. This can also be Multiplayer also. Zip file includes: Map and text. Thanks.
Playability: 2.5
"Rich" isn't really too much more than a vaguely interesting alteration on a coastal random map. Starting from stone, you've got to build up just like any typical RM game and blot out your opponents. What makes this different, however, is how the map is set up. You and red occupy the west side of the river, with great distance between you and a ridiculous amount of resources stacked by your home base. The east side is occupied by three computer players that are rather close together, some forced to share resources. Things become interesting as play progresses, but really this isn't quite a situation that is impossible in a random map game. The three players on one side go nuts over their resources, and build up much slower than you and red. You're free to do whatever for the most part, which can make it interesting, as you can survey the map and plot out your strategy. While this sounds fairly fun, it is a bit easy---when you have a ridiuclous amount of resources, winning is simple as long as you can hide from the computer. Here, it's the same case. A walk in the park for most experienced players. This is basically just a strange RM more than anything, and unfortunately here it just doesn't work. A bit more entertaining than an RM, but it's basically the same play after a bit.
Balance: 2.2
More or less it's a 1v1 battle between you and red for the crown of the continent. With the other 3 computers battling it out, red's your only true adversary. Problem is, out-booming him is all too easy thanks to the fact that 1)He's very far away and 2)You've got a big stack of fish as well as a few trees away from a river. Becuase of this, hide-and-boom works all too well, and any player with half a brain can win without a whole lot of problems. It is possible that you may get a few problems from brown as I did, but they will have to concern themseleves with protecting their own base if they want to survive. Here, it's really all too easy---hide & boom to iron, build chariots, games over.
Creativity: 1.2
Not exactly original---here we've got a modified coastal map that just plays out like a somewhat modified RM. No story to back up the short trek anyway. The only real interesting bit here is how some resources are arranged to make the game more interesting; i.e. blocking the fishes with trees etc.
Map Design: 2.5
Random map---coastal. A few sort-of pretty modifications as well as cliffs and a 90s handicap to beef the score to a 2.5.
Story/Instructions: 1.5
One clear line of instructions that frankly really isn't at all needed. It would have really helped out the scenario if there was an original entertaining storyline, but here we have nothing but a cheesy sentence and we're shooed off to go play...
Additional Comments: Not really worth a play, unless you've found what I've described interesting. Sort of fun to play but in the end it's better to just practice your skills in a real RM match. In particular if you've got a slow internet connection...
