Chronicles Of The Avanzirs

Author File Description
File Details
Number of Scenarios: 7
Difficulty: Easy-Mod
The Avanzirs are a nation who have arrive at the land of Irgad Es'alred. One day they will rise to power and rule all of Irgad Es'alred and beyond. But first they must deal with the hostile inhabitants of this land. There will be in-fighting amongst them. You have to take different sides in this campaign. The number of scenarios is not very large, but I will update the campaign in the future to eventually contain at least 16+ scenarios.

Playability: 3.3
(Insert Playability analysis here)
A little higher then average playability (2.5 I consdier average - and average is rated based upon the 'average' scenario originally on the game). Very beginner campaign, which gradually gets harder starting off with simple basics and ending with strategic adventure.
Balance: 2.8
(Insert Balance analysis here)
At first I was rather disapointed in balance, because the first scenarios always started you off in an early age with no real structures - just villagers and a town center. And in each scenario you could advance all the way to the Iron Age. It is like you can get to the iron age and then you go back to the stone or tool in the next adventure for not logical or understood reason. However, the game DRASTICALLY improved in all categories as it went along.
Creativity: 3
(Insert Creativity analysis here)
Not bad creativity. Though many levels were rather simplistic in nature, it was still fun and enjoyable passive game playing. The last three scenarios greatly boosted the creativity; if all the scenarios were like the first three it would have been a creativity level of 2-2.3. Good improvement as it went on. I look forward to your next campaign, thinking experience again would result in improvement.
Map Design: 3.3

Nice maps, they all were decent. Each on represented accurate geographical possibilities.
Story/Instructions: 2.7
(Insert Story/Instructions analysis here)
The story and insturctions could have been improved. The game was rather basic, and the simplistic nature made it a fun passive game to play. So here, it is actually a good thing that your story/instructions were simple. Had the story been too complex and the game play simplistic it would have been a disapointment.
Additional Comments:

A rather good and basic fantasy campaign. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for some passive AoE game play just to play with the basics and enjoy the game. The last scenario, as mentioned before, does complicate things a bit and has complexity. Again, perfect for a semi-early learning campaign or a passive game based on basics gradually getting more complex.

the scenarios improved in all categories as it went along (esp. past scn. III). Starting out with a little less then average to average rating and ending a little higher then average rating. To develope an accurate opinion on this campaign play all of them.
