CHAOS BATTLEFIELD
This is a map, I have updated, it was originally named "My Multiplayer Map"
AIM: The aim of the game is to -
1. Capture the artifact in the middle and control it for a period of time. (it is surrounded by weak barbarians)
OR
2. Capture all ruins
Everybody has a fixed force, which consists of:
20 Centurions
20 Scythe Chariots
20 Cataphracts
20 Composite Bowmen
20 Legions
1 Hero (Mark Antony)
1 Villager, (building only defence structures)
1 Blind lame priest
3 fixed watch towers, (you may build more)
You also have 2500 Stone to build extra towers/walls. (Use it wisely)
You start at bronze age, Roman.
The battlefield you are going to be fighting in has its ups and downs. Cliffs, walls, trees and elevations will be an obstacle every corner you turn.
Number of Players: 1-4. Humans or Computers.
Best played with an extra human. But beware of lag.
So what will you do?
Defence?
Offence?
Tactical?
You decide the fate of the game...
Created by Nezon.
UPDATE// Changed 99999 gold into 2500 so people wont just camp around their 50 tile walls :P
Thanks Dean! I owe you one. I added the artifact thanks for the idea. |

Playability: 3.5
This scenario is quite the simple one: send your troops in, kill everyone else, win. Believe it or not, but thanks to Nezon's effort, it comes off as quite some fun time. You can't really take this seriously however, as if anyone did, it would merely turn into a game of stand-off until someone attacks. This would be best to play as 2Humans and 2CP. That would work well. The map is riddled with barricades and elevations, towers etc. It really makes for fun in the end as you snoop around to hunt down the enemy's last soldiers. Other than that, not bad. Very good actually. Best played with one other human, i'd reccomend.
Balance: 2.5
I'll be honest here... If this were to be taken in any way seriously, then even despite the scouts and axemen in the middle, this would just be stand-off. And nothing else. This makes the game virtually impossible to play... And frankly no fun. This is best only used with one other Human player... Otherwise, you'll end up quitting.
Creativity: 3.2
Battle scenarios, generally speaking, are never creative, but this one has some attributes that makes it stand out. The inclusion of stone to build walls and towers and the superb map setup makes this somewhat different. Stray 'barbarians' will attack anyone who wants to go through the middle. All in all, pretty damned good.
Map Design: 3.9
Excellent. Could have been just a slight tad better, but due to lag im going to give this props anyhow. Lots of terrain difference, elevation, forests, shallows, and lots of little 'barricades' that obstruct movement. Looks wonderful, particularly after the battle.
Story/Instructions: 3
One line of watchamalit. You don't really need anything here, so i'll just give it the norm.. Would've liked to see something here though.
Additional Comments:Try to give people a reason to move towards the center (like put an artifact there, now that would lead to some major chaos!) otherwise they sit on thier fannies and refuse to budge, walling and towering themselves in the process. Otherwise, pretty decent, good stuff.
Download this for a blast with a mate, or pal, or friend, or family member, or co-worker, or buddy, or whoever. |

Instead of posting a new one, just update the old one.
Otherwise you'll make the old one pointless to download.[Edited on 05/29/07 @ 05:25 PM]
