This is a campaign about samkhada - a lost empire. Your job is to defeat the enemies attacking you and open new trade routes. I hope you like it. That's my first campaign. |

Wow for a newbie taking on using a beta editor is rare, you have achieved an enjoyable demo thar. hope to see more of your work. One quick point out is that the "snow" edges need to be covered up, so our trade secret is not spoiled :) hope to talk more this dowload later, again nice work there, I liked the streams. |

Playability: 4
The first thing is that it started of in the wrong area for me, though the starting scene is a lovely one ;). It should start where the Hero is battling, thus it caused a restart because my Hero died. After figuring how to save your hero, you need to turn attention to a set of tasks, that lends one to another, nicely playable.
Balance: 4.3
Nice balance of tough fighting and resource gatherings. It was beatable, but yet you have to do trial and error especially scouting out. Recommend saving a bit here and there, because it will take TIME (by this I mean you have to go from tool age all the way to Iron) to finish the tasks and errors are inevitable. Also you need to really build up before taking on team #3.
Creativity: 4.2
Creativity had nice use of victory objectives, placement of key units, combination of allies and enemies, etc... Tricks and triggers are scattered around, like burning towers (though would like to have seen more in that area). Design was very creative, even including paths, swampy patches, some snow, etc… As for AI the Computer players were a bit lax in attacking, though I only played it on easy level.
Map Design: 4.5
Design was the best part, a lot of effort and time can be seen in the detailed forests, paths (though seemed rushed), and mountainous terrain. My only problem, besides the need to fix the snow like I mentioned earlier (needs some tidying up around the edges), was the lack of actual elevation changes. The stream was a delight to go down, however I did not like the little brown blobs in other river (maybe put some other rock with them).
Story/Instructions: 3.9
Storyline need some going over, it can be quite good if redone. Check spelling, i.e. in History treat = threat or swallow = shallow. Love the history part about the economy. The story of how the King escapes with help is not quite clear. A simple bitmap is included, though I would like to see different colored units to further indicate the enemies’ positions.
Download this for a good challenge! |

When I first started this campaign, I thought it was pretty good. There is a simple puzzle at the start that you must solve to get your hero to safely. And when things die down you have to return to your town and build up an army.
Playability: It was great at the start. You are trying to keep your hero alive by avoiding the fire from all the towers. It was also rather challenging and the way you had to accomplish all your tasks, you have to do certain other tasks. Great stuff.
Balance: Balance was great, like playability. At the start, my hero had about 30 hp left until he was safe, which was great, You have to storm in on a well defended army, which also meant you had to create one of your own.
Creativity: This is a good point of the campaign. The VC's were interesting. One of them includes having to bring three elephants from a village to your village. But there was also a downfall VC: stockpile 5000 stone. Except for that, creativity was good.
Map Design: This is one of the categories that has good points and bad points. It was great to see an array full of wonderful tricks, yet some were not so great. Where your hero is stuck, it is a bit unrealistic. Why? The water is ontop of the cliffs, and there is land at the bottom. The only other bad point was the burning city. It had two sentry towers on fire. Nice. Except when I got there the catapults remains where easily visible.
Story: I think this is where the campaign lost it's touch. I didn't really understand what was happening in the story. Gonig back to VC's, there were not many reasons on why we had to do these tasks. Why ar we bringing these elephants back? Why do we need all this stone. Maybe if the story was a bit more detailed, fized up a bit and proof read it would be great. |
