Adventures of a prince

Adventures of a prince is a fantasy campaign. There is only one scenario but I like to have it as a campaign because of civ names and atmosphere. How much fun you will have highly depends on what you are going to do. It is parted into several steps and I advice you not to do anything which you are not supposed to do. So go on and have fun!

GeorgeROR Wow just tried doing the armed way, I managed to escape the first threat, had to encounter a couple, then I bypassed the ballista to see the scenery, but keep getting cut down by the AmonR forces, and I dun forgot that I LOSE if the Origianl BSword dies. I need to go back and spend some time building up. Your attention to detail is seen in your use of units not only to decorate normally undercorative venues like cliffs/water, also multipling odd units to make paths. 'Very interesting'. I think it might be better to make us go through each path (different scenarios). After all a prince that wins the crown must show he can do all.

I know that you are not here at the moment C4, so this will make for a nice surprise when you get back. :D

Playability: 3.8

I found this scenario captivating and enjoyable. It was fairly challenging in some places and the mix of objectives also made it fun to play.

Balance: 3.3

Although it was never a walk-through, the difficulty overall was fairly easy. If you advanced carefully and slowly it would be quite simple to progress. There were a mix of challenges thrown in; however most could be solved with some thought.

Of course, it was nice to be able to progress further without getting stuck on one part for ages, so overall this scenario was well balanced.

Creativity: 4

The use of 3 possible different paths was something I enjoyed playing, and liked the idea of. The map design was split in such a way that you would meet up at the end whatever path you took. The mix of challenges, showed creativitiy and helped enhance the players enjoyment of the game.

Map Design: 4.8

Well. Where to start. I thought the map design of this scenario was absolutely brilliant. You can plainly see the effort and time spent on making this map beautiful and functional.

The forests were of mixed type and Gaia trees were spread around everywhere making it look very natural. The use of grass clumps and desert patches to hide elevation was a great idea and also made it look very natural and overgrown. The trees would block off areas to stop you cheating the game, and playing it exactly as the designer intends.

The rivers and marshes are very natural and beautiful to look at. You can see the tremendous amount of work that has been put into making this scenario look absolutely stunning. The colossal amount of Gaia decorations is clearly visible in paths made from bones and cacti, fully decorated cliffs, and the scrub-land effect with Gaia trees, grass clumps and elevation.

Story/Instructions: 4.5

The story was split into three parts. The three paths of the story were divided among the History, Instructions and Hints sections.

The story was clear and coherent, with good spelling, punctuation and grammar throughout.

The story was fairly original, about a prince who has to choose a challenge to prove himself worthy of being a king.

One thing though. A bitmap was not included. It was a shame not to see one, because it could have enhanced the scenario in other ways, but the incredible map design more than makes up for it.

Additional Comments:

First of all: Great Job! A very enjoyable and varied scenario with evidence of originality and thourough testing and modification.

To improve:

-Include a Bitmap.

I also noticed what must have been some AI editing or somesuch, because a computer player allies with you which is rare at the best of times. That added a good efect to the gameplay.

I hope you find these comments helpful in improving your work C4. I very much look forward to more of it.
