The time before the great war, Kazani was a great nation but constant attacks on the mining companys threatend Kazani's Gold supply. Live out one of the raids in the year 1E 18 and see the demo for the upcoming "Kazani Chronicals I Unsteady Nation"
I was expecting this demo to be a lot worse, but it wasn't that bad actually. It is far to short to be worth downloading, and I can't figure out why the author would send in a demo at the same time as the full campaign, but yeah...
The mission is to get an artifact to an island, which sounds like a good mission, but it's extremely short. I've seen a lot of demos and scenarios like this, they don't offer any real playability. You just pack away the artifact in the transport and you're done.
It's easy to lose if you're slow about it, but it's only going to take a couple of attempts to beat. Even for an introductory mission it is fairly short, and simply isn't strong enough to stand alone.
Some creativity shown, with a unique albeit very brief mission, and what sounds like a creative story (although too short to be sure).
Map Design: 4
Map design is fairly good, use of dead trees on cliffs, swamps, some waterfalls and some grass patches among others was noticable. I can see you've read the map tricks pages, or at least picked them up somewhere, but I suggest you check out the "rest" of the map design articles at Andrea's site at this address:
Studying that material should get you up to a 5.
Story seems to be fairly good if only you could stretch it out beyond a few lines. Instructions were reasonably clear, but you could specifically say "Don't let the enemy capture your artifact" and "Get to the Island".
