the size is a bit big because of the Movie. A must download to see what an .avi can do to a campaign. I Worked quite hard on this campaign and was going to give up. i decided to Release it now and so here it is. The installer will work well with the avi so there shouldnt be a prob. Email me if you have questions and as always, reviews are welcome esp from freak who reviewed The Legend Lives...

The movie boosts this campaign, but I think his other campaigns are better since there are completely blank areas of the map and some bugs were present. Far too many men and ships were in the scenario but something creative where some units appear after a short while. Too many buildings in the city but was made with a lot of creativity. Gaia and forest trees needed. Some more time on testing would of made it better. |

This looks much better. I'm afraid the AVI doesn't seem to work for me though - it says I need the decompressor. Is the decompressor part of the Zip? |

Playability: 3.2
This is the renewed version of "Troy - The Legend Lives". While it has some good points, it also has bad ones. The first thing is that I miss certain things from the first version. For example, in v1.0 I could use my swordsmen to go down and slaughter a lot of bowmen, which didn't expect my attack from above, which gave me an advantage. Sadly though, those swordsmen aren't there anymore, forcing me to use my infantry and break through the main door, by suffering heavy losses. If you look around, you can find additional troops aswell as some storage pits, which lets you research better armour and metallurgy. After some certain time, new units appear which is a nice trick also. However, the civ has been changed from Greek to Macedonian, which makes your centurions incredibly slow, thus making them even more vulnerable to all those archers behind the walls. When I found Hellene, she got killed again, without me being able to kill all those troops without loosing her. Overall, I feel some more strategy involving elements would be nice. Being forced to move slow centurions through corridors with archers behind walls to win, and then loosing because Hellene gets killed without a chance to save her is really confusing. I liked some new effects though, like you can get new troops near a burning ship.
Balance: 1.7
The slower centurions make it even harder to survive, even though they have piercing armor now. The lack of different units to use, and the thing with Hellene is really frustrating.
Creativity: 3.7
After all there are some quiet creative things in there, like the burning ship I mentioned, new units appearing after a certain time, etc. Like I said though, there could've been more strategy elements to make it more interesting.
Map Design: 4
Map Design is good, not spectacular but it suits. Things like the burning ships, or some burning trees in the enemy city looks really cool, and there are some nice other effects. Some things are a little annoying though, as your units get stuck easily.
Story/Instructions: 4
After all the story felt a little uninspired, not that long instructions, a one line history section, acceptable hints. A bitmap was included though (this time I did not have any problems with it), and an the AVI increases this to a 4.
Summary:
Some things are better, while there are still some problems with Playability and Balance. For those who likes massive battles or want to see the new version, this should be worth the download. Others shouldn't bother with it. |

@magnet50: That wasn't very polite. In any case when you don't like a scenario you should point out the flaws and maybe suggest improvements. Designers don't get better just by flaming their work. |

Well magnet, i am aware that this isnt my best work. I am also aware that you are a 'crap' designer yourself. I suggest you dont comment like that on people work when, frankly, you arnt any better, infact, much worse. |
