This is a good puzzle scenario, but it will take quite a while. It isn't perfect in all areas, but it's still plenty of fun. If you like puzzles, but don't have time for a campaign, play this.

Playability: 3.5

You have a lot of fun solving the puzzles, but the actual gameplay is a little weak, it gets boring at times because everything takes so long to do. One improvement would be to replace the Zenobia's towers with weaker ones, and to make a few less walls, including where the archers are.

Creativity: 4.5

A lot of thought has gone into the puzzles. They are quite tricky, using the fact that Assyrian's don't get slingers, and using well placed Gaia units and buildings. The map has been made in a creative way, even though map design isn't a strength. A nice variation, instead of plain conquest you must build two markets on a well defended place. I lost a few villagers attempting to get them up but I finally did it.

Balance: 4

Takes too long to finish I felt, but is a good balance otherwise. Keep in mind this is a combination of puzzle and build and destroy, so you will need to do a lot of building up too. Some puzzles will have you scratching your head.

Map Design: 3

Not great map design, I didn't like the symmetry and the blocks of forest, or the long straight sections of cliffs.

Story: 3.5

Not a detailed story, but a story none the less. Good hints and instructions.

Overall: 3.7

If you aren't inclined towards long puzzle scenarios I wouldn't recommend you download this, but if you like that type of scenario it will keep you entertained for an hour or two.

Also Consider: Mago, which has a good mix of puzzle
reckoning_mike i dont really get this scenario... how are you meant to destroy the zenobias towers and walls? much fun as it would be to endlessly attack them with a pop limit of 50....
Richard Ames It was a puzzle scenario, as I recall. You have to go through some puzzles to get a catapult, which you then use to destroy the towers. The towers have too much HP though, it is annoying.

I like puzzles and riddles so I looked forward to completing this. I was looking for puzzles and to be honest I think I missed them the first time so I replayed the scenario and took a closer look. By definition I believe I found them the second time around. A good scenario and I enjoyed it a lot, both times played.

Balance: 4.5
This is no easy (unless you play it than way) scenario and, be ready for a long and at times frustrating confrontation. Gathering resources is easy as you are left alone to do so. Be careful how you use them as certain resources are limited and if placed wrong the scenario can last longer than expected. Other than that a very good balanced game as you are given more forces as you continue.

Creativity: 4.2
Creative in a way that if you are weak of heart this is not for you. Passing the first trial, which is supposed to be easy can send any experienced player screaming from the room. The other trials I find just fall into place. The final objective had me wanting to give up before I even got started due to an error on my art. Sheer perseverance pays off.

Map Design: 3
No bitmap given as it would have given the whole scenario away. Map was very flat and laid out. I found it an all right map; with the one flaw noticed being the waterfall placement as it looked off.

Story/Instructions: 3
Story and instructions were good and you know just what you need to accomplish. Not really a story that you can throw yourself into. Going slow and steady, planning well will be reward enough and you will feel a sense of accomplishment when you finish (if you finish.

An absolute download for anyone wanting a challenge for the day.
