Patrick Loveless
File Details
Number of Scenarios: 6
Difficulty: Mod-Hard
This is a scenario about the journey of odd men from under the earth to the Medival and Ancient world. They call themselves Lava Men, for they have lived in the earth encased in lava, demons, satanic beings, and nerds. They meet the Motamid, Moslem Egyptians, and many other people. It is challenging but cool.

This is a very original fantasy campaign with a good story.

It is about a tribe of people who have lived under the crust of the earth and have made their way to the surface. You begin by finding your way to the surface world, braving the hordes of nerds, demons etc (strange folk below the surface), then aid other historic peoples like the Egyptians

Playability: Sometimes the layout was a little unusual and it hindered gameplay, and the placement of enemy towns made some scenarios a little to easy.

Creativity: One of the most creative in a long time, we see a made up story, and characters, and some original map design.

Balance: Probably the biggest weak point, some scenarios just weren't all there when it came to difficulty

Map Design: Very original, overall good quality, the same map was used on the third and fourth scenario which was quite impressive, with the towns all changed. Some eye candy but some things just didn't look quite "right" at times, and it was a little to man made looking, needed more natural randomness.

Story: Good story, perhaps a little short (needs more character details and plot). It is well explained but lacking bitmaps, but overall had a good feel and nice ending, and plenty of originality. Not a bad campaign :)
