I know what your thinking. Hey look it's yet another Lord of the Rings scenario/campaign, I wonder if it's as bad as all the others reviewed. The answer is yes, it is.
Playability: 1
This scenario is not fun. It has been spammed up with a huge amout of units (400 something) and causes lag on my computer. It took me six minutes of game time (not counting the lag) and way too easy.
Balance: 1
If you can win a scenario in 6 minutes then it is way too easy. All I did was run my huge number of Heavy Cavalry over to my enemy and they did the rest. Not to hard except for all the lag I faced.
Creativity: 1
A LotR scenario on a blank map with hundreds of units and a VC of conquest I assume. Where is the creativity? Not here sorry.
Map Design: 1.1
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Helms Deep a fortress surrounded my mountains and cliffs. So why has the author just made a blank map with one small fort with some archers boxed in one part where they are killed by catapults and some eleavations? This map design shows absolutely no effort put in at except for the small amout of eleavtion and the fort which increase the score be 0.1.
Story/Instructions: 1.2
The story is horrible. Although there is one there it's not good with mistakes like saying Sauruman instead of Saruman and there is also a teh in there which shows that the story had obviously not been re-read. The story also doesn't match with the map as it says something about ruins and in the map there is no ruins on the map. Also it the hints say I have to find some unit but I already have all the units. The only reson for the .2 is that there was some text and it wasn't just on line.
Additional Comments:
Oh and you are ment to be Hobbits but there were no Hobbits at Helms Deep please if your going to do a LotR cpn/scn follow the story right. Or better still don't do LotR.
Should I download:
No. There is nothing good about this scenario so just stay away.
