Roman Child is a short two scenario campaign which involves finding Hero Caesar then killing Hero Amon Ra in the first scenario then destroying some Government Centers.
Playability: 1
This campaign has nothing to really make me want to play. The instructions are incorrect and don't work, the maps are mainly blank and it is really easy. This campaign was no fun at all. With no one to actually oppose me I got bored with the second scenario very quickly.
Balance: 1.2
This campaign was way too easy. The first scenario had the small challenge of do killing Hero Amon Ra but even this was easy. The second scenario was one of the worst I have played. The enemy was only three Government Centers mean all I had to do was follow the yellow brick wall then destroy the Centers.
Creativity: 1.3
The maps are mostly blank with the exception of a small forest at the start of the first scenario. The civilisations used are just the default one the VCs haven't actually been set so the most creative things in this scenario are the story, which is too small to be of much use, and the small forest which is a the normal forest terrain.
Map Design: 1.1
As I said above all the maps are just blank maps the first with a small forest, a lot of axe men and two heroes with one with a hoplite. The second map is just a large map with a huge thick wall going up one side of the map. In the second scenario you can even see that the make has just used the large map you get if you click the Create Scenario button.
Story/Instructions: 1.3
The first scenario has a small story in the history, three VCs in the scenario instructions (all of which don't work) and no hints. The second scenario has another small story in the history, only one VC in the instructions section and one hint that made no sense the first time I read it but did once I found the Centers I realized what it was trying to say. The first victory story was alright but the second loss story was rude and offensive. There were a few spelling mistakes in the story and a lot of grammar mistakes also no maps to help you find your enemies.
