This was playable but it began to drag in the last hour when the outcome was certain and all I had to do was slowly level the enemy towers and buildings with my cats.
Since the enemy is walled up in his fortress and can't come out to play, all I have to do is shoot over his walls until I kill off most of his players. Meanwhile I can spend all the time I want harvesting resources and building up, undisturbed.
The is some creativity in starting the player out as a single villie, but it soon develops into a mass siege along standard lines.
Map Design: 2
This is a totally green grass map with square forests painted with a broad brush. Even the hills are square. Most of all, both the enemy and the ally are walled up and cannot sally forth.
There are entries for each topic in the instructions but they all sound like a low budget Kung Fu movie. They killed your family so now you have to kill them, etc.
To the Player:
You might try this if you want to practice siege technique without damaging the walls so the the enemy could get out. It also provides good lessons in catapult splash damage and friendly fire prevention. Follow the hints. Follow the grass road, actually a dirt road through grass. Don't go wandering off to a corner to build up like I did, because it's not necessary and it will slow you down by about an hour.
To the Designer:
Thank you for submitting this scenario. It was kinda fun cause I like smashing things. But you could make it better by opening up the walls so the enemy can come out and get me before I build up totally, and please open up the ally walls so he can come out and help me. Also, please give my ally a dock so I can trade with him. Your design shows great promise and I hope you continue to make scenarios.
