I have tried to make this scenario as close to Alamo.pud as possible. If you have never played Warcraft 2 this was a pud in which you were in a natural fortress which you had to defend against 6 other opponents. Multiplayer also : No
This scenario was fun, and I really enjoyed it. It was rated as hard, but maybe moderate-hard would be a little more appropriate. You start off on an Island in the middle of the map, with 4 land bridges to the mainland. You are surrounded by enemies, but you are more advanced than they. You also start with a large supply of resources around your base. Well, since this map did come from a WarCraft .pud, creativity was not a major factor... But, the author did have to redo it for AoE, and I think did a fine job. This map was almost perfect for what I like. It was not a walk in the park, but it was not weeks of work. It would take between 1 and 2 hours to complete, but it would still be a fun go. In balance, this map was quite well done. It worked perfectly for what is was meant to do, although a bit more attention could have been paid to small details... say maybe having some fish in the water, and so on. In my mind's eye, this scenario does fine. The story was less than what I would have expected: it was short, badly written, and right to the point. On the other hand, it did have a nice little bitmap, and this lifted it up a bit. Worth a download :)
