No. of Players: 8
This map is not equal and requires the use of different stratagies. In an 8 man ffa, cunning and constant awareness would better describe the successful players. There's not a lot of water, but it plays a key role on the map. There are 4 areas of access and 8 players. This is not an all out naval map. Simply a neccessary means of transporting your troops into enemy territory. Loose the ability to do this, and you loose precious eccess to additional resources. All players have land access to one other civ with the exception of players 7 & 3 whom are in a position to establish a naval presence early in the game but will be at conflicts with each other. If you want to play teams and share the points of water access, the teams should be: 1&6 2&8 3&7 4&5 everyone starts with a scout in an enemy territory so watch out for the one in yours. By using the overlooking cliffs, some of you can be a real pain in the ass to others with no way for them to retaliate Its almost impossible to win by capturing all the artifacts or ruins unless you've almost done a complete conquest. all civs are weak in wood or stone & gold (never both) so trying to win by staying at home & building a wonder while having suitable defenses is awfully hard at best. Frankly, I don't think you'd survive with this statagy. I hope you enjoy this rather unique map. I believe its diversity will let you play it more than once without loosing its appeal. Singleplayer also : No
