A scaled cylindrical projection of the earth with gold mines, forests, and major mountain ranges (cliffs) in their real world locations. No major license taken for playability other than ample stone and food. Singleplayer also : Yes
This scenario was a very carefully drawn map of the world. Due to the titanic effort that this must have taken, and considering the clumsy tools available in the scenario editor, I gave this nice looking world map a 5 for map design. However, as the author states, no license was taken for playability. Unfortunately, the map has very little space for expansion, and is far too crowded to actually play. The author's suggestion is to play this as single player, and just watch the computer on hardest. Balance was low, since the standard start map has uneven resource distribution, and unequal connections between land players. The scenario has no story, and the instructions indicate that it is actually a single player scenario, rather than a multiplayer one as submitted. The idea of a world map is somewhat creative, but this sort of thing has been done before. Overall, it is very nice for those who want to see the earth projected onto an AOE map.

actually, the author doesnt suggest it at all. it is a multiplayer scenario, and thats what its best for, clearly.
