You, Tetrosa, the former ruler of a tribe of warriors, face a difficult task. Your tribe was rich and powerful, until a while ago our enemies, the Lemanites, made a surprise raid on our village. They came quickly, so we had no warning. They slaughtered our villagers and our horses. Also, as if this were not bad enough, they lured our brilliant general Croesus away to control their army. Without his leadership, our troops were soon defeated. Now, you are all that is left of your once proud and powerful tribe. However, all is not lost. Though it looks grim, there is a faint vague hope left for you. Your former general, Croesus is in the area with a legion of Lemanite troops. Also, there are some other tribes that you can use to your advantage. One of them is a well-defended tribe, but if you can get in, it should be easy to escape with some of there villagers. These villagers can help you begin to rebuild your once proud tribe after this is all over. Also, for a tribe to be powerful, they need good horses. One nearby tribe, famous for it's horses, is in a bad spot. Many of their warriors are away, and their town is poorly defended. If you can steal some of their horses, it will help you tremendously. However, the forest is treacherous, and many times those foolish enough to venture in alone have never come out. Multiplayer also : No |

Very good scenario. You have to capture a key enemy leader, rescue some of your kinsmen, and herd wild horses into a corral. You can build and find a few troops, but no useful buildings. It's basically a puzzle/maze - with a couple of quite neat gimmicks - plus some small fights. Wonderful bitmap (helpful and good-looking) & story/instructions. Hints are right on. Nice terrain map - pretty little towns, excellent forest paths, and terrain used well to let you explore while steering you to key places. Only bad aspects is, ironically, a result of one of the creative highlights - herding the 5 horses is not fun. I saved this task 'til I'd accomplished all my other objectives. The first horse was frustrating, the next irritating, then I home-runned it. Overall, though, well worth a download & play. Nice work, Rasher! |
