I've played many many RTS -always preferred AoE1, specially-, but no other campaign's scenario could be compared to that one. It is the most intense and epic map I have played in a RTS to date, it took me a few hours to beat it. ´
In the map you started with a monk and had to retrieve an artifact. I thought it was a part of the original campaigns but now I am sure it has to be a campaign I found here.
You start with a monk and had to recover an artifact while trying to evade multiple dangers --lions, enemies, and the catapult part, which was very tricky.
A bad move and you are dead, it's SO precise, like decisions measured by milimetres. I never played anything like that in a RTS before, and I have (and have had) aplenty.
Iirc, you started at the bottom right of the map, there were some plains with trees and stuff, you found lions, and a scout, which you had to avoid, then you got to the sea, then to a very small island where you got a boat, then there was a catapult..., and you had to retrieve an artifact on top of a hill.
Does anyone know which scenario could it be? It's not the Holy Man, nor Opening Moves, etc, which are part of the original campaign.
That scenario holds a special place in my videogaming heart.
