The expansion is looking promising, we are steadily doing our own part at our own pace and have made (and not made) multiple decisions regarding the expansion. Wish us luck, if you would be so kind.

Features:
Indian Building Set
4 new Civilizations - Alpha stage bonuses
X new Researches (Decided on)
5 new Units (Decided on)
New Interfaces
New Menu Backgrounds (Working on)
Game improving features
New Soundtrack (Working on)

Hurdles:
Turtle Pack Glitch, when two darkest player colours do not change player colour
Anything that is hard coded.

I would ask that people on the team would refrain from publicly sharing what the new content is in the expansion for now.

Maybe it's only a fool who'll perilously journey out to what might not be there. But if you want to solve problems, you don't just solve the ones that are there, you find more and make more and go after the impossible ones.

despite the remaining bugs, lack of balance fixes, etc, their work on the original games (AOE/ROR) remains extraordinary, which explains why there still is an active community on AOE *1* right now, and not only next games.

It's been pretty much abandoned. I have not been in contact with the team since I decided to quit the project (that's been well over a year now, prior to me releasing the soundtrack). There are still many awesome assets which could and should be used in either a mod or someone should take a look at, and try to build upon it further. Especially the graphics team did a fantastic job. I did a bit of work on that too, the main logo is my creation. It would be a shame to see all the hard work go to waste. I have some of these assets still, but without the other team members' consent I cannot upload them (because it is their work specifically).

It has not been abandoned actually. If you want to contact us, it is pretty easy . The issue is just that all of us have been swamped with work.
To be clear all our work is still our property and we do not plan to share or release the work unless everyone on the team agrees to.

Either way, where did this project leave off last time? It seems to me you have most of the creative assets in place and what really remains to be done is mostly a bunch of balancing? Or am I missing some big things?

can you show less new technologies (and their improvements) that you can use? And what are the new units (no audio file that was made available on the forum we see on the cover that there is an update of Camel Rider and another of Scout, but I would really like to know if there will be an update for Slinger and / or overland trade unit [caravan] that I've seen in some mods on this site, the latter would also be interesting because it would increase the possibilities of trade in the game on maps where water is scarce. I would also love that this project was also foreseen for the age of empires definitive edition.

Well worked on is a big word. We haven't really done any work in several months sadly. But there are still people on the team who want to see this project finished.

Hmm hard to say. Epid was working on the data files and balance but I don't know how far he got. Last I heard the game was crashing for him.
We finished the whole Indian building set as you can see on the screenshots. We were working on units as well but the results for the animations were not satisfactory so we only have Yan's units.

Show less technologies? Not sure what you mean here.

Well that wasn't a very dramatic reveal.

Haha yeah the game crashing is a serious bummer. That's what made my dumb campaign take 8 years to complete. If there is a stable release to be found anywhere I think it would be cool if you could get together some Alpha release, even if it doesn't include everything you had planned. But that is up to you as developers of course.

good afternoon. I was analyzing your work in the manual and I was very happy to know that you also have plans to apply it in A: DE. If they allow a question about the weaving technology, it could also add HP for the Slinger's, not necessarily the same amount as for the villagers. somewhere between +5 to 10 HP. Or that such an addition of HP (for Slinger's) came from the Civil Service (somewhere between +10 HP). This edition of HP should also apply to the new Spearman unit to compensate that it will not have an update (which is really a shame as I would also like to see an update on this unit).

Actually that's not the case. It's just saying we copied some of the balance changed from Aoe1E. We don't have the graphical skills to make an Aoe1E mod. The mod will be for the vanilla game (either UP or RockNRoR).

I have question do you plan add spearmans in academy? All spear units could be there and the will be always extra place for more Barracks units in the future

In next Expansions there will be upgrades for spearmans and Elephant Archer.

If I may, I would like to make some suggestions. the first is about the Trade Caravan. You could not change it so that it is trained in the market, just like in the age of empies 2. It could be available at Toll Age. In the last field on the side, just like the Camel Rider is in the stable.



The second suggestion would be for the Trade Workshop building to work according to the AGE2 market, for the purchase and sale of materials (food, wood, stone). This building could continue to be available from Bronze Age. But for this second change (Trade Workshop), the Trade Caravan and Trade Boat / Merchant Ship units should also change their operation, so that they would only seek gold from the Market / Dock.



or a third alternative. Make sure that the Trade Boat / Merchant Ship and Trade Caravan units can work by switching between buying or selling (food, wood, stone). Since there is no possibility to buy (food, wood, stone).

This looks great.Hopefully you guys can port this to AOE DE as well.
Btw is it possible to add new civis in AOE DE?

I would take second way. Its similar in AOE 2. New Building would give more space for new techs in the future for market too.

So Aram, would you think it better to keep the Workshop building, where the Trade caravan would continue to be trained, adding only the options to buy and sell materials?
Regarding the purchase and sale prices of raw materials. these should have a standard price. For example. selling 100 of stone, wood or food is equivalent to 25 gold, or 1/4. The purchase of 25 stone, gold or food is equivalent to 100 gold. Or someone could give another better idea about the values ​of buying and selling raw materials.

How its done in AOE2 is better it represents inflation and more realistic.

If this is possible in Age of empires 1 (classic), it would be really great. I'm not a programmer, just an admirer of the game, including mods that can enrich the game, like this promising Mod (Beyond the Indus). If your idea is possible to be applied in the classic game it would be great. I really would like this expansion to come off as something official soon.
