The review thread began back in October 2004 and ended around March 2006. It's purpose was to get people into reviewing other's submissions, as a way to help each other improve and give them recognition when they did well. We discovered some great scenarios and reviewed a large number of submissions such that, at least at the time of its closure, almost every recent submission, going back several years, had at least one review. The thread will no longer be updated anymore as I have retired as an active reviewer, but the thread continues at its new location I've enjoyed my time with you guys and I'm sad to see the thread sink. Having said that, this is definitely not the end of reviewing - People always need support and encouragement, and for the measly amount of effort required to write a comment or review it is worth so much to both the designer and the downloaders. As long as people keep looking after each other there will be plenty of feedback and a strong community. Reviews and feedback are a huge boost for a designer, and really support the community. If you play a campaign/scenario etc that hasn't been reviewed, pop in a review for it, it only takes a few minutes to write, when you have probably spent an hour playing it. Read the review guidelines if you haven't done so already, you can find them This thread isn't just about reviews, it's purpose is to talk about campaigns you have played, new scenarios etc, anything like that. We aim to review everything submitted, so all designers get feedback on their work and know where they're at with their designing, and all downloaders have a rough guage of the quality of submissions, and a descriptive review to read when browsing files to download. It's like a very simple role playing game where you do reviews to level up. -You must have submitted a review to join *Your faek (fake) Super Hero name The Points System Each time you submit a review you may get points. You may also be awarded points at random times for this and that. The points go towards upgrading your chosen unit (getting armour etc, and eventually levelling up). The gameplay shifts to a FF and puzzle style, with some restricted B&D later on. Once you get a message to the secret base in the north it is up to you to avenge the Mastites and destroy the Nabri. Strongly recommended by Nanaki and myself. Drusus and Tiberius, an AoE campaign by Richard Ames Tales of Udrania , a RoR campaign by c4master The Senate and People of Rome, an AoE campaign by Andréa Rosa Senate and People of Rome is the greatest of all remakes, bringing together everything that is great about AoE into one campaign, a compendium of the important events in the early years of Rome, and an inspiration to anyone looking to remake their own level. With this campaign's two new 5 star reviews it bring's Andrea's tally up to 5 top rating campaigns, a monumental achievement for this great designer. The Sons of the Lion King, an RoR Campaign by Hijja Death of the Morads (Remix), an AoE Scenario by chrisjen_81 (aka The Dark Archer) A Short History Of Lost Sumeria, an AoE campaign by Andréa Rosa As we approach the end of the year the best has been saved until last. Andrea's newest offering takes on a new mythological style, while still keeping to his historically researched presentation and classical gameplay. You will see all sorts of new tricks and eye candies in this campaign, and learn a lot about Sumeria and the ancient world. Congratulations Andrea, you're the first to receieve campaign of the month twice in a row!
