If you're into playing games against computer players, no doubt you have seen some of the many weird things the AI does, up to the point where it's just downright funny, like villagers chopping a tree all across the map. Here's something that will make you laugh for sure, a video overview made by GamerZakh showing off the prowess and stupidity of the AI in Age of Empires: Definitive Edition.

I actually find that sad... I am sure many are expecting better AI performance from DE

It has a certain charm... cuteness I do think it is actually worse than the original AoE. However FE mentioned they *might* want to implement something like AoKs AI in the future, but the main thing here is compatibility... not holding my breath on this one.

I was watching HeirOfCarthage try out DE and in carthage mission1 he killed off 20 or so villagers trying to cross a river very near his base

I also think the new water looks off, not that the old water is good, but especially the animated waves on smaller bits of water

Most of what is shown here is fixed in rocknror... (and most were fixed even before DE started)
gathering on the other side of the map
not hunting elephants
houses too close from TC and farm placement
stuck villagers
priest constantly changing target and converting nothing

I like the new water, but deep water could be a bit darker blue.

I mentioned a while ago to FE they should contact you Chab because of the many fixes and new features you made. Guess they have not yet done that...

If that weird villager thing was fixed, what was the problem that caused it? I assume the building placement was fixed by editing the .cty files
