I never know what to say in these occasions, and it seems a mite odd wishing an internet fansite happy birthday.

Still, I'll say a big fat chaz to everyone here for giving me something to do. I could write a list of awesome people in HG, but the list would be too long.

Well, Happy Birthday HG. The community here had been great, and even though people here have pissed me off (yes, I get P.Oed by people on the internet), it has been a great part of the last 1.5 years. I honestly can't imagine life without all you guys.

Well, now thats all done, I will continue my normal routine, as it is ever so fun!

AoE Heaven was my first clicked shortcut whenever I switched on my PC during 1997. It had all the strategy and tactics I could wish for while I was playing Age of Empires, Rise of Rome and Age of Kings. I'm sure I had a log-in at AoE Heaven back in the day, but God knows what it was...

Finally registered for the Total War Heaven forum a couple of years ago, and it's been a lifeline for Rome: Total War and Medieval 2: Total War.

Great sites, great resources. Well done to all the HG team!

Congratulations HG, I've only been around here since 2003, but it seems awfully longer.

Many cool experiences and people came from here, and this place has definitely had an impact on my life. Now I'm staff (of a Heaven that is going to be ignored for another year as of last week ) I feel it will be cool to help the site in it's next 10 years.

This has been my main AoE site since I got the game and have been posting regulary on AoE3 HG for 9 months, is a fantasic site with a geat community.

I remember getting Rome: Total War and it not working properly due to a scratch on the disk, but that didn't stop me from being absolutely terrible at it. While Amazon replaced it, I went looking for a strategy guide and found RTWH. It was the strategy guides written by Ace Cataphract and Cheesewiz that convinced me to look at the forums. After a bit of lurking to work out who was worth listening to and who was (to put it politely) talking rubbish. That was in March 05 and I'm still here and in a different colour after someone thought I'd make a good staff member.

Many thanks to all the people who taught me to play RTW and made me feel at home at HG in those first few months, whether you knew it at the time or not:

How time flies... I've been here for nearly seven of the ten years, and I can safely say that few things have had such a massive impact on my life as HeavenGames has (had). The people I've met, the places I've been, the things I've learned - it's hard to find the right words to say, really. Thank you, HeavenGames, for everything. The good and bad, I cherish everything equally. I doubt I'd be the same guy I am now if I hadn't decided to ask some people for feedback on my first Age of Kings scenario, way back when.

Shout out to the folks who're no longer around as often as they were - you know who you are.

At this point we are talking about one of the oldest and most venerables websites on the net, and it's hard to say whether AoE everlasting success boosted AoEH, or the reverse. I suspect it's a cooperation between the coolest RTS game in videogaming history, and the most friendly fan community ever. After all, there must be a reason, if even a misanthrope like me keeps returning over and over. Best wishes to the stalwart AoEH staff: you guys did an awesome job, and I feel we haven't seen the whole story yet...

I certainly was here at the begining, when a friend of mine gave me Age of Empires - I was just a lil' Kid discovering the net in those times and having a little trouble getting my hands in the hard mode I was really impressed at the time to see all there was to discover, not only on the net, but in that game ! Still play it some times, even have some of the old campaings downloaded here that still hit the top ten ^^ (The David Saga was the first one, a Holy Grail to me).

I think i saved every page in the game-related pages that interested me (almost every games listed on HG) - strategies, how to's - because it was (is) so good stuff ! Might come in handy, who knows... I also did it because I always fear a site might disapear, you never know ! Hope it won't happen with HG =)

Happy Birthday Heaven Games!

I've been a member since 2000 and a lurker / downloader for a while before that. Started with downloading strategies for AOE by people like The Sheriff, Celestial Dawn and Xiphoid, then became active myself when AOK was released. I have enjoyed the chance to participate with the whole group on the forums and to give to the community by creating random map scripts for AOE:TC, for SWBG, AOM and now AOE3.

I really hope this site will continue forever (well, at least until I'm gone!).

Two and a half years, a thousand posts, and still I'm a newbie Loving every minute of it, and only on Heaven Games.


Just want to say congratulations to Zen (de master of ze universe) and all the hard work he and all the staff and moderators (specially the ones over in Rome: Total War Heaven The best of the bunch) have put in to create such a brilliant site.


There have been people here that have made me laugh, make me want to physically hurt them, give them a lil hug, and all number of different things . I've learnt in my stay here that I over use smiles , that I am a wooly liberal and that age doesn't equal maturity (thank god). Loving all the oldies calling us twats .


So, I wont say happy birthday to the website, just another thanks to the people that made it all possible, forumers and all. So Thanks

Strange to think I've been at HeavenGames for six years. It's been a good six years, too - this was the first online community that I was a part of, having stumbled into AoKH from a link on Ensemble Studios' website while looking for random maps, and I spent at least three years of my time here locked into the Scenario Design forums for various games, notably Age of Empires 2 and Stronghold, as well as Empire Earth and Empires.

HG has made me friends, too, particularly my good friend Kor, who I got to know through the now-defunct Woad Creations design team.

I'll be honest and say that I've despised the vast majority of posters at HG at some points in my stay here, despairing of idiocy or whatever, but that's usually fleeting. I'm content to sit in my ivory tower now just stick my fingers in my ears and chalk it up to experience when I encounter an idiot. HG still gives me a good deal of pleasure in reading threads and whatnot, and I can see myself visiting for years to come.

10 years! Wow HG and AoEH is like a big boy. May both forums propser.

I've only been here less than a year and I've loved every moment of it even if I do mainly go to RTWH.

So 10th happy birthday.

I came to the site from Rise of Nations, I had gotten the game and was looking for strategy guides. So I ended up at RoNH. Eventually I went to the history forum, and from there to OD. It was just about the time that legion had one of his Soviet Congresses, and there was chaos everywhere.

I thought it was pretty funny.

HG had been my homepage for a while now, and even during the drop in visits, where I'd force myself to make a comment, I still visited. This place has been a retreat of sorts, where one could find awesome links and talk about awesome games. It's an awesome website, and I wish that I could have been here earlier, back when I actually played AoK .

I registered just under a year ago, and i still love the site. I post on quite a few heavens, it's taught me a few things about gaming (that i'm no good at it) and let me meet some very intresting people. Emphais on 'inteerreesssttting'.

I can't express in words how much HeavenGames (Outside Discussions in particular) means to me. I wouldn't be the same person without HG and I'm glad I was stupid enough to follow the url to AoWH given at the back of the AoW II manual.

I'm geniunely thankful for this place and for the people I met. All of them. Even the prats and the jerks whom I want to drown in a barrel of wine.
