First of all, happy belated birthday Age of Empires Heaven! On the 15th of may, AoEH turned 19 years young A day later it happened to be my birthday - and I got a nice present from my gf I would like to share with you all:
That is a framed poster with a high resolution image of what I think is one of the most awesome looking AoE cutscenes/cinematics ever. You can find this high resolution scene in the official Age of Empires press kit, which I just uploaded to the granary. It contains all kinds of cool (historical) information, screenshots, cutscenes and more eye-candies:
AoE Press kit
I've added two more files, which contain all of the official 3D Studio MAX building renders created by Sean and Duncan McKissick (former employees of Ensemble Studios);
3D Studio MAX Building renders
...as well as the earliest scenario's ever created in AoE - well Dawn of Man actually - which was the first working title before ES decided to change it to "Tribes" and finally Age of Empires. They date back to the 14th of March 1996 - AoE stuff just doesn't get earlier than this! Unfortunately they won't work in Age of Empires because the scenario data is uncompressed and they are simply too old:
